Blue Beach

The hubby picked me up from my short--but long enough--visit with my family Sunday afternoon. On the way home we stopped to tour some of Nova Scotia's treasures, Hall's Harbour and Blue Beach.

Blue beach was once a tropical swamp and is now an important site for track fossils of our earliest 4-legged, five-toed ancestors who conquered the land earlier and more independently than expected.

No wonder I feel so at home here in Nova Scotia, my ancestory goes way back!

I'd recommend planning on going when the tide is going out as the beach is quite long and you might want to spend some time walking it.
